Due to the retirement of the former Chief Constable on the 7th June 2013, the Commissioner has appointed the Deputy Chief Constable to the temporary post of Chief Constable until the substantive post is filled in autumn 2013.

The information contained in the Employment Tribunal Findings report has been subjected to the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Data Protection Act 1998 and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent’s public interest test and is deemed to be exempt from publication under section 5.

The Commissioner has been asked to approve the request to extend the current contract for a 3 year period in accordance with the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent Standing Orders relating to Contracts, paragraph 125.

The information contained in the Collaboration report has been subjected to the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Data Protection Act 1998 and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent’s public interest test and is deemed to be exempt from publication under section 7.

The Independent Custody Visiting Scheme is a statutory Scheme under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act Part 3 Section 299 whose responsibility and oversight lies with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, in consultation with the Chief Constable.
