FOIA provides access to information held by public authorities. Under the FOIA, public authorities are obliged to publish certain information about their activities, this is referred to as a Publication Scheme. Members of the public are also entitled to request any recorded information held by them.

The Treasury Management Annual Report was scrutinised by the Joint Audit Committee on 10th June 2021.

Derbyshire Constabulary, under the leadership of the National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC) have awarded a framework to Komainu (Jersey) Limited.

All Police Forces are named as potential participants in this contract, and the Joint Commercial and Procurement Unit have been instructed by the Gwent Police Cyber Crime Unit to sign up to the framework in order for Gwent Police to securely store and sell Cryptocurrency resulting from operations.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to award £27,779 funding to support the continuation of the post of the Regional Community Safety Officer for the period June 2021 to March 2022

The Independent Custody Visiting Scheme is a statutory Scheme under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act Part 3 Section 299 whose responsibility and oversight lies with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, in consultation with the Chief Constable.

In January 2021, the Government announced an additional £40m for victims’ services which will be distributed through different mechanisms.

The funding has been administered through Police and Crime Commissioners across England and Wales.

Gwent were able to secure an additional £139,037 for Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Services for the financial year 2021-22 and £644,446 for additional IDVA and ISVA provision in Gwent for a two-year period

from April 2021.

The findings of the survey helped inform the Commissioner’s decision when setting the precept level for 2021/22.

A budget of £500,000 has been set for community safety and youth offending in Gwent as outlined in Decision Log PCCG-2020-051. South Wales Fire and Rescue was awarded £28,000 from the community safety and youth offending fund to continue the work of the Anti-Social Behaviour and Fire Crime Practitioner.
