Have Your Say
It is your feedback on issues such as crime and antisocial behaviour, and your experiences dealing with the police that help shape my Police and Crime Plan 2021-2025 which guides the work of Gwent Police.
To ensure I am able to truly hear the issues which matter to you about policing, my office run and attend a number of public engagement events throughout the year.
Though effective engagement with the public I aim to:
-
Increase public awareness and understanding of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s role and responsibilities;
-
Increase public awareness and understanding of police and crime objectives;
-
Encourage people to give their views on policing in Gwent;
-
Establish and grow effective working relationships with the public, our partners and stakeholders; and
-
Provide feedback on the issues you have raised.
All engagement and consultation activity is monitored by the Commissioner's office for effectiveness annually. This document reports upon the progress of an action plan which has been devised to support the requirements of the Joint Engagement and Communications Strategy 2018-2022. You can find previous years reports by searching through the Commissioner's decision logs.
