Based on the progress and performance of this intervention during 2021/2022, the PCC has decided to extend this pilot project by one year. The following funding will be awarded for 2022/2023.

Newport City Council - £123,457

The pilot project builds into the existing Safeguarding Hub response to safeguarding in Newport.

FOIA provides access to information held by public authorities. Under the FOIA, public authorities are obliged to publish certain information about their activities, this is referred to as a Publication Scheme. Members of the public are also entitled to request any recorded information held by them

Age Cymru Gwent - To continue to fund 30 hours of support by the Older People's Caseworker. Amount: £18343. Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) - To continue to fund the Well-Being Practitioner jointly with ABUHB. Amount £30,785.
Umbrella Cymru - to provide support to those victims who require it in relation to their gender or sexual identity. Amount £5,000

The provision of victims services to children and young people is being improved and as such a new tender process is being progressed. There has been a delay in progressing the tender release and as such Umbrella Gwent will provide the interim service until 2022/23.

The funding will be provided to Newport City Council who currently leads on coordinating the delivery of the IDVA service until long term commissioning and funding arrangements have been agreed
