The Commissioner has agreed to continue with the Scheme in order to provide protection to both the Police Dogs and the Police and to also provide reassurance to the community.

The Commissioner has been asked to approve the request to provide grants for 2013/14 to the various organisations in the same proportion as in 2012/13.

The Commissioner has been asked to approve the request to award a framework agreement for the provision of a laundry service. The framework is awarded under the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent Governance Part 5 Standing Orders relating to Contracts, paragraph 88, most economically advantageous tender.

The Commissioner has been asked to approve the Manual of Corporate Governance to ensure that all work undertaken is done in an open and auditable manner and in accordance with the good governance principles set out in the CIPFA Code of Corporate Governance.
