As part of the work undertaken towards the introduction of the Police and Crime Commissioner, the four Welsh Police Authorities agreed to revise and update a number of key Human Resources policies to ensure they were fit for purpose and suitable for use under the Police and Crime Commissioner. The Attendance Management Policy and Procedure was previously approved on an all Wales basis on 30th March 2012 and by Gwent Police Authority on the 28th May 2012 and has been adhered to since this date.

The draft outcomes proposed as part of the Police and Crime Plan were considered. It was agreed that further discussion on success measures would be referred to the Strategic Planning Group for further consideration. The Corporate Planning Protocol and proposed Joint Engagement Strategy would also be considered by the Strategic Planning Group prior to adoption.
