Decisions

The following amounts were awarded:

£348,515 to New Pathways to contribute to the delivery of Sexual Violence Services in 2021/2022, including the following services:

* SARC services;

* Core ISVA services;

* Additional ISVA’s - Children and Young People ISVA; Mental Health ISVA and Community ISVA;

* Children’s Therapy; and

* Adult Counselling.

£69,500 to Cyfannol Women’s Aid to contribute to the delivery of their Horizon Support Services which include:

* Adult Counselling; and

* ISVA services.

The funding will also contribute to management and administration costs.

The following projects funded in 2019/2020 or 2020/2021 have, in principle, been awarded year two or three funding, where this was applied for in their original application, subject to satisfactory reporting:

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to provide £25,000 to the Gwent High Sheriff's Community Fund for 2021/22, with an option of match funding up to an additional £25,000. A further £15,000 to support year 1, 2 and 3 of the Superbid will also be provided.

A review of the Manual of Corporate Governance is undertaken on an annual basis by the Strategic Planning Group. The Joint Audit Committee considered the amendments at their meeting held on 1st March 2021 before final approval was requested from the Commissioner and Chief Constable at the Strategy and Performance Board Meeting on 3rd March 2021.

The Commissioner is required to determine the budget for 2021-22 and then set the council tax precept in consultation with the Police and Crime Panel.

The Commissioner is satisfied that the complaints examined had been dealt with appropriately by the Chief Constable.

Treasury Management covers borrowing, investing, banking and cash flow management.

The strategy will be a living document and will be amended, as necessary, to ensure that the policing and public requirements, as they change in future, will continue to be its foundation.

The contract is awarded under the Framework led by Dyfed Powys Police for Provision of a Vehicle Recovery and Disposal Managed Service. Gwent Police's contract will be awarded for a period of three (3) years with the option to extend for a further year.

The joint Ministry of Justice and Welsh Government Female Offending Blueprint (2019), provides an opportunity to accelerate the reform and transformation of services for women in the Criminal Justice System (drawing on the lessons learned from the Women’s Pathfinder). The Female Offending Blueprint will focus on creating sustainable community-based solutions to keep women and communities safe and free from crime, based on an evidence-led approach.
