As part of my FOIA request please could you tell me the following:- - Between 23rd March 2020 and 15th April 2020, how many times has the office of the Gwent Police and Crime Commissioner (either the Commissioner himself or his staff) challenged Gwent Police, or sought clarification from Gwent Police on Gwent Police’s interpretation and implementation of the “Coronavirus Act 2020”. - Between 23rd March 2020 and 15th April 2020, on how many occasions has the office of the Gwent Police and Crime Commissioner (either the Commissioner himself or his staff) challenged Gwent Police for interpreting the movement of certain groups of people as “non-essential” travel when UK Government advice stated that such movement was permissible, (For example, Gwent Police tweeting that window cleaning wasn’t classed as essential travel when UK government advice specifically stated that tradespeople could continue to work).

I would be grateful to responses to these questions under the Freedom if Information Act: (1) How many road blocks / roadside check points did Gwent Police operate over the bank holiday weekend to question drivers on their need to travel? (2) How many warnings and/or fines were issued over the bank holiday weekend under the COVID legislation or any other legislation which is being used to enforce the lockdown? (3) If the data is available, how many vehicles did Gwent Police observe on the roads over the bank holiday weekend and how does that compare to a typical weekend before the lockdown commenced?

Please see below the information we are requesting under the ‘Freedom of Information Act 2000’: Did your Police Crime Commissioner submit a response to the Home Office public consultation,launched on the 5th of November 2019“Strengthening police powers totackle unauthorised encampments”? If so, can you please provide us with a full e-copy or hard copy of your response to this consultation?

I have recently become aware that in some parts of the UK police forces are recording the sex of criminals as the sex they wish to identify with. As of October 2019 it was reported that up to 6 police forces (including Yorkshire and Thames Valley), disclosed under the freedom of information act that if someone is arrested or convicted of a crime, the official record will state the gender they chose to identify with, even if the nature of the crime is sexual e.g. rape. I have looked on line to see what is available in relation to this, but have been unable to find any Gwent based guidelines or policies, or any Impact Assessment completed for such documents. I wondered if you would be in a position to confirm the policy around the recording of crime in Gwent?
