Youf Gang raises money for Ukraine appeal
The children and young people of the Shaftesbury Youf Gang in Newport have raised more than £1000 for victims of the war in Ukraine.
Shocked by what they have seen and heard, the young people organised a raffle to support refugees who have been forced to flee their homes and country. They have also been busy collecting essential items that will be delivered to those who need them.
They are a credit to their community and a great example to others who want to make a difference.
The Disasters Emergency Committee charities and local partners are in Ukraine and neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance. For more information, go to www.dec.org.uk
