My team have been busy visiting schools across Gwent over the last few weeks.
This week they visited the Heddlu Bach at Penygarn Primary School in Pontypool, and Raglan Primary School in Monmouthshire, to talk about the role of the Police and Crime Commissioner and how Commissioners work with the police to help keep communities safe.
They also delivered Safe Spaces workshops to children at Cantref Primary School in and Abergavenny and Llantillo Pertholey Primary School in Monmouthshire. These sessions encourage children to talk about areas where they feel safe and unsafe in their communities, and the information is fed back to the local policing team and other partners.
These are just some of the ways we ensure that children and young people can have their say on the issues that are important to them.
