New Pathways is an organisation which provides rape crisis and sexual abuse support services via Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA) who offer counselling, support to witnesses and management of the Gwent Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). Specialist provision is also available for children who are victims of sexual abuse.Funding is as follows for 2018-19:* ISVA/SARC: £94,760* SARC: £46,381.89 (from Gwent Police)* ISVA Service: £20,600 and funding shortfall: £10,300* Children and adult counselling, clinical assessment: £58,464

The grant is provided on the basis that I will receive such information as necessary to reassure me that the grant funding has been used effectively to provide a service that supports my priorities for Gwent as stipulated in my Police and Crime Plan and is aligned to local policing requirements.

There is to be a new Invitation To Tender (ITT) issued from 2019 which will fully take into account the requirements of the entirety of services in Connect Gwent.

The provision of victims services to children and young people is being expanded and improved and as such a new tender process is being progressed. There has been a delay in progressing the tender release and as such Umbrella Gwent will provide the service for a further period of 4 months from 10th July 2018 for a total cost of £12,000. The increase in cost is due to the expansion of the current roles reflecting their success.

Age Cymru Gwent - To continue to fund 30 hours of support by the Older People's Caseworker. Amount: £18,750. Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) - To continue to fund the Well-Being Practitioner jointly with ABUHB.
