Torfaen Play Service volunteer awards

My team attended the Torfaen Play Service volunteer awards this week.

The awards celebrate the fantastic work of the young volunteers who offer play opportunities to children and young people in after-school clubs and holiday play schemes. The team also provides children and young people with disabilities access to community play provision.

Play is an integral part of growing up and helps children to learn both social and moral skills. Providing opportunities for children and young people to play and socialise in safe spaces can help to prevent them from becoming involved in anti-social behaviour and crime.

The dedication and commitment of these young volunteers is commendable and I would like to congratulate everyone who received an award.
