I would like to know:

• The number of officers that are not up to date with training for personal safety, and the total number of officers that are in the force currently, and at the end of 2022 (31^st dec)

• The number of instances that “use of force” has been used in an arrest in 2021 and the total number of arrests

• The number of instances that “use of force” has been used in an arrest in 2022 and the total number of arrests

• The number of instances that a “use of force” has been used in an arrest by officers that not up to date with training around personal safety and use of force in general. During both 2021 and 2022

• The number of instance in 2021 and 2022 where “use of force” has been used but body cam footage is not available.

My use of language may not be correct but the essence of the request is how many time are there instances when an officer is not update on their training and is undertaking a arrest that results in use of force.

Why are Gwent Police Officers attending a private mental hospital and who pays the cost of such an incident?

At least six officers and four police vehicles attended the scene of an incident within xxxxxxxxxxxx Hospital on 10^th November 2022.

The explanation for the attendance, as given to my ward councillors by the Hospital Director was, “if an issue arises where nurses feel uncomfortable and are incapable of handling, they must contact the police”.

I would estimate that this police presence represented a significant proportion of the available resources at that time and therefore likely to mean other calls for police assistance may be severely hampered.

Is it the Council Tax payers of Gwent who are subsidising a private enterprise that makes profits for its shareholders? Elysium, I understand is in the hands of an Australian investment company.

Press reports suggest that the Metropolitan Police ceased to provide such cover in their area a number of years ago.

Please provide the following information

a) How much has been paid by the force to LQCs between the above dates for payment for their role as an LQC at police misconduct hearings please  provide a total figure 

b) How many LQCs are at the forces disposable as of the 28th of October 2022. Please also provide the name.

c) what has been the largest payment made to an LQC during the above period

 

 How much has been paid by the force to Independent Panel Members  between the above dates for payment for their role as Independent Panel Members at police misconduct hearings

I request information regarding your recent manned  speed checks outside Trellech Primary School (B4293) last week. 

The information provided on Twitter was that you scanned 50 cars. The fastest going 35 miles per hour and the average 21 mph. 

The information I request is as followed.

How many people were issued fines?

The individual speed of each of the 50 cars you scanned?

I request this information as the 1200 cars I have scanned to date record at the following

Fastest car going 58.3, mph

Average speed 31.2 mph

Obviously this contradicts your report, however, I understand cars will slow down if they know police are on the road. 

I also request an update as to when and why the speed loops have not yet been installed at Trellech, as these were planned to be installed in September for the start of the school year.
