The GIFT (Gwent) Board have agreed to amend the Articles of Association to reflect the change of members and associated directors.

The contract is awarded for a period of 12 months coinciding with the licence support and maintenance agreement. Total cost for 1,500 licences and annual maintenance and support is £280,291.70.

Following a public application process to the Fund throughout February and March 2015, stage 1 ahortlisting against the application criteria was completed. Applicants who met the criteria moved to stage 2 which consisted of an evaluation enquiry where their applications were presented to a Funding Adjudication Panel who undertook a rigorous assessment of all bids received.

Awarding of the Partnership Fund falls under the Commissioner's power to provide Crime and Reduction grants under Chapter 3, Section 9 of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.

Under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, the Commissioner is required to produce, for each financial year, an Annual Report that highlights how the he has been carrying out his role and the progress that has been made in meeting the objectives as set out within the Police and Crime Plan for Gwent.

This additional funding will allow the project team to enhance current outputs and to drive forward and support a programme that will be used across the wider Gwent area whilst maintaining the current provision across Newport.

After scrutiny by the Joint Audit Committee on the 10th June 2015 the Commissioner has approved the Annual Treasury Management Activity Report and Actual Prudential Indicators for 2014/15.

The role will be jointly hosted and line managed by the Torfaen Voluntary Alloance and the Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations with reporting and governance structures in place for OPCC oversight.

The Contract is for a period of 5 years inclusive of maintenance and support provisions, and specific licences for the full duration and is awarded under paragraph 63(c) of the Manual of Corporate Governance.

The contract is awarded for 3 years with an option to extend for an additional two years to be reviewed on an annual basis. In accordance with paragraph 63 (c) of the Manual of Corporate Governance.
