The project will work with partners to plan and organise various events and workshops, provide training on life skills and offer the opportunity to gain qualifications in various aspects e.g. first aid, youth work, safeguarding.

Purpose:
Towards the Aspire Youth Zone which will provide a space for children and young people aged 11-16 who have been affected, exposed and influenced by domestic abuse. Positive mentors will also be provided and the project will dovetail into existing partnership activities, providing an integrated and co-ordinated family support service that will engage and support vulnerable families.

Towards the Youth Link project by providing funding towards youth workers, venue hire, equipment and activities etc. The project will provide diversionary out of school hours and holiday activities for young people aged 8 – 16 years old, whilst also supporting, engaging with and encouraging the young people to make positive contributions to their community. Drop in facilities for 11 – 18 year olds will also be available to Funding criteria met Outcomes monitoring report required within 12 months identify individual or group problem areas; providing positive workable solutions on a group or one to one basis.

Towards the Safe Male Film Project which will involve the attendees of the Safe Male Project who have learning needs and disabilities (ages 16 -35) in developing a short DVD film to raise awareness of appropriate sexual health and relationships for men with disability and highlight the dangers and pitfalls of exploitation especially around Mate Crime.
