Student officers graduate

I was honoured to be invited to join 35 student officers, their families, and representatives from Gwent Police, for their graduation ceremony.

Now that the officers have completed their training they will be deployed with policing teams across Gwent’s five counties.

I know that these new officers will strive to do all they can to help ensure that Gwent continues to be a safe place to live, work and visit.

I am committed to increasing the number of police officers in Gwent and I am proud that there are now about 350 more police officer posts than when I was first elected in 2016.

I wish these officers all the best in their future careers.
