Police and Crime Panel recruiting a new member

The Gwent Police and Crime Panel is recruiting a new, independent member, to scrutinise, challenge and support the work of my office.

The purpose of Police and Crime Panels is to maintain a regular check and balance on the performance of Police and Crime Commissioners on behalf of residents.

I report to the panel regularly and am required to consult members on decisions such as the level of council tax that goes to policing, and the appointment of a Chief Constable.
