Gwent Police officers and staff donate to local food bank

Gwent Police officers and staff, and staff from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, are supporting the Eastern Valley Foodbank.

Eastern Valley, which is part of the Trussell Trust, is based in Pontypool and aims to provide emergency support to local people in crisis.

The collection is being coordinated by BAM Construction, which is developing Gwent Police’s new headquarters at the Llantarnam Industrial Estate in Cwmbran.

Police and Crime Commissioner Jeff Cuthbert said: “Many people have been hit hard by the pandemic and, sadly, the need for food banks has never been greater.

“I would like to thank everyone who has donated so far. Your efforts will have a real benefit to those in the community who need it most.”
