Gwent Police long service awards

Gwent police officers and staff who have served Gwent for almost quarter of a century have had their service recognised with a special online ceremony.

The Long Service Awards celebrates police officers and staff who have served with the force for 20 years.

Police and Crime Commissioner Jeff Cuthbert said: “Police and Crime Commissioners are elected by the public to ensure that they receive the best possible service from their police force. I am lucky that, here in Gwent, we are fortunate to have such dedicated, hardworking officers and staff that care deeply about the communities they serve.

“This has never been more apparent than in the response to Covid-19.

“Policing in a pandemic is not easy and I know that officers and staff have gone above and beyond the expectations of their roles to help keep our communities safe during this time.

“Twenty years is a significant mile stone and I would like to say thank you to all officers and staff, not just on behalf of myself but also of the people of Gwent for everything you have done over the last 20 years, and for your continued service.”
