Ffin Dance sessions at the Llanhilleth Institute.
I was delighted to see children and young people from Abertillery and surrounding areas enjoying Ffin Dance sessions at the Llanhilleth Institute.
The weekly sessions are run in conjunction with the charity Off the Streets and provide creative experiences to help steer children and young people away from anti-social behaviour.
As well as having fun with their friends and taking part in physical activity they are learning something new, developing their confidence, and working with positive adult role models.
Addressing anti-social behaviour is a key priority in my police and crime plan. I am committed to fund organisations such as Ffin Dance to help address negative behaviour and change the hearts and minds of our future generations and their families.
We must continue to work together, a lot of work is taking place with the police, charities, local authority and other partners to address issues of antisocial behaviour.
