Ask for Ani: domestic abuse code word scheme
7th April 2022
If you are experiencing domestic abuse and need help, you can ask for ‘ANI’ in a participating pharmacy.
‘ANI’ stands for Action Needed Immediately. If a pharmacy has the ‘Ask for ANI’ logo on display, it means staff are ready to help.
They will offer you a private space, provide a phone and ask if you need support from the police or other domestic abuse support services.
Help is available
If you, or someone you know is being abused, please report it to Gwent Police via 101, the Gwent Police website or Facebook and Twitter.
