Two duties are placed on public authorities under Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). Notwithstanding applicable exemptions, the first duty at, Section 1(1) (a), is to confirm or deny whether the information specified in a request is held. The second duty at, Section1 (1) (b), is to disclose information that has been confirmed as being held. Under the provisions of those sections of the FOIA, we can confirm that the information you seek is partly held by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent.

 

You have requested the following information:

 

Please provide the following information for your Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme for the 2022/2023 Financial Year

1.  The Name/Title/Scope of the commissioned programme in your area -

2022/23 – no information held. The service previously provided was decommissioned for 2022/23.

However, for the time period 1st October 2020-31st March 2022, Phoenix Domestic Abuse Service was the commissioned provider for this service. The aim/scope of the programme was to increase the number of perpetrator-focussed programmes in local areas through expansion of the Phoenix Respect Perpetrator Programme and the Youth Respect provision. The pilot ran from 1st October 2020 until 31st March 2022. During 2022 – 23 the expansion of the services was decommissioned after Home Office Funding ceased, OPCC funding was provided to work with the cohort already referred in the previous period. No new referrals are being made.

2.  The total number of males who self-referred into the programme

Between 1st October 2020 and 31st March 2022, 116 males accessed the programme. We do not hold information regarding how many of those self referred. Over the time period of the pilot, a total of 38 self-referrals were made but this would include both male and female.

9.   Financial Contributors (Inclusive of Statutory, Non-Statutory Organisations and individual voluntary donations)

2022/23 – Funding was provided by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent to continue the scheme for the previously referred cohort.

Between 1st October 2020 and 31st March 2022, the pilot programme was funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent from Home Office funding.

10.  Budget inclusive of Running Costs

2022/23 – £234,737. This was to continue the funding of the cohort referred in the previous pilot.
