Young people from Blaenau Gwent enjoy a kickabout with the Cardiff City Foundation
Young people from Blaenau Gwent have been active during half term with football workshops and a tournament organised by coaches and staff from the Cardiff City Foundation, Blaenau Gwent Youth Service and Positive Futures.
Before taking part in a series of five a side tournaments, young people took part in a wellbeing workshops and a undertook a mental health first aid course.
Positive Futures provides fantastic opportunities for young people across Gwent and receives funding from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner as part of the Commissioner’s commitment to keeping neighbourhoods safe and increasing community confidence in policing.
Working in partnership with local authorities, sports teams and ambassadors, and local businesses the organisation provides young people with opportunities to broaden their horizons and raise aspirations.
Partnership working is an important aspect in helping to divert young people from a life of crime or anti-social behaviour.
