We will remember
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, Jane Mudd, has commemorated Remembrance Day at a ceremony at the Gwent Police headquarters in Cwmbran.
She said: “This is a time for communities to come together and remember the ultimate sacrifice made by so many men and women in service to their country. They died so that we may be free. We thank you, and we will never forget.
“As well as commemorating those who died we must also remember those who have served and continue to serve their country. I have been privileged to attend Remembrance events across Gwent over the last week and have been moved and humbled to speak with so many former and serving members of the armed forces.
“Most of us will never have to know the horrors and hardships they have had to endure, and it is important that we recognise the many sacrifices they have made to keep us all safe.
“On behalf of myself, and the people of Gwent that I represent, I would like to thank you all for the important service you have given to your country.”
