Safer Internet Day 2024

This week we celebrated Safer Internet Day. We visited Coleg Gwent Ebbw Vale Learning Zone and were joined by officers from the Gwent Police Cyber Crime Team, Thales, Cyber First Wales, the University of South Wales.

It was great to have the support of learners from the campuses Student Union. 

Students welcomed information about the many ways to stay safe online and the various opportunities available in the cyber industry. 

Throughout the week, learners are also being asked to think about how the internet affects their lives. Coleg Gwent Digital Futures and Wellbeing Ambassadors have designed a competition to encourage learners think about how the internet has had a positive impact.
