PCC puts Caerphilly residents’ concerns directly to Chief Constable

19th March 2026

Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd held her latest Public Accountability Forum with Chief Constable Mark Hobrough to discuss issues affecting communities in the Caerphilly borough.

The Commissioner’s Public Accountability Forum provides a platform for Commissioner Mudd to highlight key concerns raised by communities across Gwent and bring them directly to the attention of the Chief Constable.

They discussed issues including anti-social behaviour, dangerous dogs, and the work Gwent Police is doing to tackle instances of hate crime.

The latest forum was recorded at the Newbridge Memo and is available to view on the Commissioner’s website and social media channels.

Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd said: “My Public Accountability Forum gives residents the chance to put their questions and concerns directly to the Chief Constable.

“I would like to thank the residents of the Caerphilly borough that took the time to speak with us. By encouraging open, honest and transparent conversations, we ensure that people’s voices are heard and that they can play an active role in shaping policing in Gwent.”
