PCC launches major youth engagement project
Children and young people across Gwent are being invited to have their say on crime and policing.
Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd has launched a major youth engagement initiative aimed at listening to the views of children and young people across Gwent’s five counties.
Their feedback will help shape a new charter outlining how the Commissioner will work with children and young people in the future.
Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd said: “I was elected to be the voice of the public, and it is incredibly important to me that the voices of our children and young people are heard loud and clear.
“By understanding what children and young people think about policing in their area, how safe they feel, and what they believe public services could be doing better, we can tailor services and target funding to better meet their needs.
“My team and I have already spoken with hundreds of children and young people at events across Gwent over the summer, and now we are opening up the opportunity for even more people to take part online. I encourage as many people as possible to take a few minutes to have their say.”
