Out and about in Abergavenny
Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd met with Abergavenny residents and businesses during a walkabout in the town centre.
The Commissioner visited Abergavenny Market to speak to traders and shoppers about issues in their communities.
She also spoke with volunteers from Keep Abergavenny Tidy about the work they are doing to clear litter across the area.
Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd said: “It was a pleasure to meet with residents in Abergavenny and spend some time listening to their views and concerns.
“It was also really positive to hear that they feel reassured by Gwent Police’s new base in Abergavenny which we formally opened at the end of last year. The facility, combined with the service desk in Abergavenny Town Hall, provides the best of both worlds; an accessible location for residents to access face to face services, and a modern operational base for officers and staff.
“It is helping to ensure that Gwent Police can prioritise a visible presence in Abergavenny while still being able to respond quickly to incidents across the region.”
