Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd has congratulated the latest batch of Gwent Police recruits to complete their training this week.

A total of 40 officers took part in a passing out parade which formally marks the end of the training process.

They will now be deployed to policing teams across Gwent’s five counties.

Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd said: “By becoming police officers you are showing a real commitment to public service and dedication to your community.

“Every one of these officers should be proud of the part that they will now play in making a difference to our communities and keeping our residents safe.

“I wish them all the best for the future and look forward to meeting them in their communities in the coming weeks.”
