New Community Support Officers begin their careers
I am delighted to welcome ten new Community Support Officers into Gwent Police.
These new officers have completed their training and will now be deployed to neighbourhood policing teams across the region.
They join the 162 Community Support Officers already serving communities across Gwent and are part of our ongoing plan grow numbers from to 196 over the next three years.
Community support officers are the link between the police and our communities, helping to develop trust and building greater community cohesion across Gwent. It is not an easy job and CSOs are often supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
These new officers are dedicated to supporting and serving our communities and they will be a welcome addition to Gwent Police at a crucial time. I wish them all the best in their new careers.
