Gwent Officer named Wales's rural and wildlife crime officer of the year

I would like to congratulate Gwent Police officer, PC Mark Powell, who has been awarded 'All Wales rural and wildlife crime police officer of the year 2023'.

PC Powel is currently on a two-year secondment to Natural Resources Wales. In this role he has led many prosecutions against offenders who have committed wildlife and rural crime.

Mark received the prestigious accolade at the Wales Wildlife and Rural Crime Conference, held at the Royal Welsh Showground. I wish him all the best for the future.
