Funding available for victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence
Organisations in Gwent that provide services to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence can apply for a share of £147m from the Ministry of Justice.
The funding can be used to support victims and their families who have experienced abuse at any point in their lives, and to create new independent sexual violence and domestic abuse advisor posts.
Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, Jeff Cuthbert, said: “Services that support victims of sexual and domestic abuse and violence and already stretched and face financial uncertainty, so this additional funding is very welcome.
“It will help us provide essential services to victims in Gwent, and to support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.”
Those wishing to apply must complete a needs assessment and return to rosanna.davies@gwent.police.uk by 5pm on Tuesday 3 May.
Please take some time to read the Ministry of Justice’s guidance document before completing the needs assessment.
