Funding available for victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence
A fund of £139,000 is available for services supporting victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence in Gwent.
The funding from the Ministry of Justice can be used to support victims and their families who have experienced abuse at any point in their lives.
Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, Jeff Cuthbert, said: “This funding comes at a crucial time. We know that these crimes are under reported and that this has only become worse during the pandemic. We also know that existing services are stretched and many are facing financial uncertainty.
“This money will help us provide essential services to victims in Gwent, and to support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.”
