Crimestoppers community action day
Crimestoppers held a community action day in Newport this week to highlight the charity’s anonymous crime reporting service.
The charity takes anonymous information on all types of crime, from street crime, such as drug dealing, theft or burglary, to more hidden crimes such as exploitation and abuse.
Police and Crime Commissioner Jeff Cuthbert said: “I realise that some people may feel reluctant to report an issue for fear of repercussions but all reports to Crimestoppers are made completely anonymously.
“Tackling crime in our communities requires all of us to play our part, so if you know or suspect someone is involved in crime or criminal activity, please contact Crimestoppers and report it.”
Contact Crimestoppers charity 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. To find out more about Crimestoppers campaign work across Newport and Gwent click here.
