Construction partners inspiring young people

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner has supported construction partners Willmott Dixon at an apprenticeship day for year 11 pupils at Ebbw Fawr Learning Community in Ebbw Vale.

Pupils were given information and advice on the wide range of jobs and apprenticeship opportunities that are on offer in the construction industry. They also had the chance to explore 3D simulations of some of Willmott Dixon’s current projects.

Wilmott Dixon built Gwent Police’s new police facility in Abergavenny which houses neighbourhood and response teams for the area and was officially opened in December 2024. Educational visits such as these are one of the ways that the company aims to give back to the communities it works in.
