Animal welfare scheme recognised by Dogs Trust

Our animal welfare scheme, which ensures that Gwent’s police dogs are looked after to the highest standards, has received a certificate of recognition from the Dogs Trust for another year.

Animal welfare visitors play a crucial role in ensuring that Gwent’s police dogs are kept to the highest standards, and that their physical and emotional wellbeing is looked after.

The certification from the Dogs Trust means that it is satisfied we provide a high level of service, and that they are happy to continue to work with Gwent Police to provide rescue dogs for training in the future.
