Thank you for your request.  We have handled your request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs). The EIRs apply to requests for environmental information, which is a broad category of information defined in regulation 2 of the EIRs. If the police estate has been surveyed to see whether its buildings contain Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC)?

-If so, when the surveys took place?

Yes, the surveys were completed in February 2023

 

-How many buildings were identified as containing the material?

There were no buildings within the Gwent Estate found to contain RAAC.

 

-What, if any, action has been taken as a result of the findings?

 No follow up actions required at this time.

 

-How much money has been spent on such action to date?

£2500 for the survey.

 

-What is the total estimated future cost of action to deal with RAAC?

Not applicable
