- How is Gwent Police and Crime Commissioner aligning their commissioning of social care and support for children and young people with commissioning of specialist VAWDASV support?
The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) updates his Commissioning Strategy on an annual basis to deliver priorities within his Police and Crime Plan. Where there are gaps in service provision, activity is undertaken to address the gap which could result in new services being commissioned. As can be seen above, the PCC has already identified and commissioned services to support children and young people with a need for specialist VAWDASV support. It is the PCC’s intention to maintain these specialist services for the foreseeable future.
