The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has approved the continuation of the collaborative policing procurement service across southern Wales until 31st March 2014.

A joint strategic lead for procurement across the three southern policing bodies was appointed with the remit to develop a collaborative procurement service. Following discussion at the Welsh Police Finance and Resources Group support for the continuation of the role for the next year to 31st March 2014 was confirmed.
