Chief Constable Post Service Employment

In March 2018, the Home Office introduced a requirement for Chief Officers to provide notification of any post-service employment that takes place within 12 months of them leaving the police service. This therefore placed a requirement on Police and Crime Commissioners to review and approve the suitability of the Chief Constables (but not the Deputy or Assistant Chief Constables) post-service employment. For transparency purposes, Police and Crime Commissioners are then required to publish these details on their website.
