Getting Involved with your Police and Crime Commissioner

There are a number of ways you can get involved with the work of your Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC):

Animal Welfare Scheme

The Animal Welfare Scheme sees volunteers carrying out independent checks in order to observe and report upon the conditions under which police dogs are housed, trained and transported.

Independent Custody Visiting Scheme

The Independent Custody Visiting (ICV) Scheme sees volunteers go into police custody units to check on the welfare of detainees and the facilities in which they are held.

Volunteering Opportunities with Gwent Police

The PCC also supports a number of volunteering opportunities run by Gwent Police. For more information on these, please visit the Gwent Police website.
