The Police and Crime Commissioner has agreed to award additional uplift funding from the Ministry of Justice to domestic abuse and sexual violence organisations working in Gwent

Following a proposal process, £783,483 funding has been awarded to five
organisations delivering domestic abuse and sexual violence services in Gwent:
- BAWSO, £32,631 for 2021-22, MOJ Domestic Abuse Uplift Funding for 1 Black Minority Ethnic Specialist Support worker
- Cyfannol Women’s Aid, £27,452 for 2021-22, MOJ Domestic Abuse Uplift funding for 1 Violence Against Women and girls; Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Networking Officer working with older people
- Monmouthshire Housing Association, £15,686 for 2021-22, MOJ Domestic Abuse Uplift Funding for Part Time Male Peer Support Development worker for the Dad’s Can Project
- New Pathways £63,268 for 2021-22, MOJ Sexual Violence Uplift Funding for 1 Sexual Violence
Support Worker (Children and Young People) and 1 Pre-trial Therapy counsellor - New Pathways £159,710 for 2021-22 and £154,940 ring fenced for 2022-23, MOJ Additional ISVA Funding for 4 ISVAs – 1 Children and Young People ISVA, 1 Community ISVA,1 Mental Health ISVA and 1 Male ISVA
- Newport City Council £151,036 for 2021-22 and £178,760 ring fenced for 2022-23 MOJ Additional IDVA Funding for 4 IDVAs
