The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to provide funding to contribute to the provision of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) service for the financial year of 2021/22.

The funding will be provided to Newport City Council who currently leads on coordinating the delivery of the IDVA service until long term commissioning and funding arrangements have been agreed.
